Hyderabad: The Kamalanathan Committee held a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat on Monday and discussed the bifurcation of officials and staff in 14 departments among the two Telugu States.

Officials from the two Telugu States, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), 14 heads of departments and others attended the meet. It must be mentioned here that T-NGOs leader Devi Prasad, Legislator Srinivas Goud and others had urged the committee to complete the process by the end of this month and had even threatened to organise statewide agitation in the first week of December.

The TNGOs deferred their November 6 agitation as the committee had agreed to wind up the process by the end of this month. The committee received representations from 14 departments of Telangana on Monday. The delay in completing the task of division of employees had affected governance in both the states. Recently Kamalanathan met Rajiv Sharma and IYR Krishna Rao, chief secretaries of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh respectively to take their inputs on the issue.
