WARangal bypoll

Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy says both TRS and YSRCP are enacting drama, terms Kavitha a ‘shadow CM’

Hyderabad: As the date for Warangal bypoll is fast nearing, leaders of various political parties are busy making allegations and counter-allegations against one another. Joining the bandwagon, Nalgonda MP and senior Congress leader Gutha Sukhender Reddy said YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy taking up election campaign was nothing but extending indirect support to the ruling TRS candidate in the Warangal byelection.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, along with TPCC official spokesperson Niranjan, Gutha said the TRS had made YSRCP to participate in the Warangal by-elections only with the fear of defeat and alleged that the YSRCP entered into an inside pact with the TRS.

The Senor Congress also alleged that the BJP and YSRCP had colluded with the TRS only to defeat the Congress party candidate. He alleged that the BJP and the TRS parties’ leaders in Warangal byelections were praising each others’ rule and on the other side asking votes individually. He said that the lone YSRCP MLA had cast his vote to the TRS candidate in the Council elections. The TRS and YSRCP MPs extended their support to the Land Acquisition Bill, which was against the farmers, along with other Bills introduced by the Central government.

Pointing out that the TRS leaders showered praises on two Union Ministers who attended the inauguration of Food Processing Units in Nizamabad district, Gutha alleged that both the parties were begging for votes by criticizing each other in election campaign.

“The TRS and the BJP are enacting dramas by entering into a poll pact,” he alleged. He also pointed out that the State Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy did not participate in the programme held in his own district though two Union Ministers took part in the programme, and alleged that Nizamabd MP K Kavitha was behaving like a shadow Chief Minister.

The Collectors and SPs played Bathukamma by welcoming her by extending Chief Minister level protocol. Stating that the people were unhappy with the BJP rule, he said the people had to express their unhappiness by defeating the ruling party.

He alleged that the Chief Minister was giving an impression that he had inaugurated four lakh houses by inaugurating merely 390 flats in Hyderabad. The Chief Minister was making statements violating election code. Exuding confidence that the Congress party would win the Warangal byelection, Gutha said that the TRS, the BJP and the YSRCP’s conspiracies will not work in the election.
