GHMC to repair all roads by December
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy on Tuesday directed all Deputy Commissioners and Zonal Commissioners to take up works pertaining to potholes and manholes on a priority basis and ensure that all the road repairing works in the city are completed by the end of the December.
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy on Tuesday directed all Deputy Commissioners and Zonal Commissioners to take up works pertaining to potholes and manholes on a priority basis and ensure that all the road repairing works in the city are completed by the end of the December.
The Commissioner said that the GHMC is planning to deploy road doctors and IRT vehicles and trying its level best to complete the pending works within a stipulated time. He appealed to the citizens to extend cooperation and give their suggestions. He also requested them to furnish the details of locations where the road repairing works need to be taken up.
Dr Janardhan Reddy further directed the Deputy Commissioners and Zonal Commissioners to arrange for mobile or permanent toilets at places where weekly markets are being set up. He directed the officials to involve celebrities and representatives of Residential Welfare Associations for works pertaining to sanitation, entomology and street lighting.
