Hyderabad: Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour & Employment said that Telangana State will be provided all support for the all-round development. Speaking to media here on Thursday, he said that the Narendra Modi government’s major achievement was financial inclusion. “19 Crore people were benefitted with Jan Dhan Yojana and they were able to get subsidies, loans and other financial benefits directly”, said Shri Dattatreya.
Explaining on the developmental activities being taken up in the newly formed state, he said NTPC, Ramagundam Plant in Karimnagar district is being expanded in two Phases. In first Phase, two units of 800 MW and in second Phase, three units of 800 MW will be added. The foundation stone laying ceremony is scheduled sometime in January, 2016. The present generation capacity of Ramagundam NTPC Plant is 2600 MW of which Telangana State is allocated 726 MW as its share.
Labour & Employment Minister informed that the Bhupalapalli Power Plant of State Government, where 500 MW capacity in Phase-I is already commissioned, another 600 MW in Phase-II is scheduled for commercial operation from this month end. Central Government is ready to allocate to Telangana two Solar Parks of 500 MW each, for which the State Government has to provide necessary land.For Separation of domestic and industrial feeders, Central Government has sanctioned Rs. 800 crores for Telangana State of which Rs. 120 crores is for Warangal District itself. State Government has to utilize these funds by expediting the works. By implementing the above projects, the State will be able to have quality and uninterrupted (24 hours) power supply with at least 9 hours power supply for the farmers.
