KCR directs officials to prepare list of drought-hit mandals

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao held a review meeting with officials on Wednesday evening at his camp office to prepare the list of drought-affected mandal. Identification of the drought-hit mandals would be done based on the reports submitted by the District Collectors.
Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister S Narsing Rao, Principal Secretary of Agriculture Parthasarathi, Principal Secretary Revenue B R Meena, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Smitha Sabarwal, Commissioner of Agriculture Priyadarshini and others attended the meeting.
Over 200 mandals in the State were identified as drought-hit as per the reports presented by the District Collectors. The CM directed the officials to prepare the list of the exact number of mandals to be declared as drought-affected as per the guidelines of the Centre. He asked the officials to prepare report in the next three to four days, so that it can be submitted to the Centre for financial assistance.
