‘I am confident of my winning prospects and my fate is sealed in the EVMs to be unveiled on November 24,’ he said while speaking at the party counting agents meeting in Hanamkonda on Sunday. He alleged that the ruling TRS has influenced the official machinery and voters in the by-election by spending huge amounts of money.

The public were put to great hardships by the TRS during the election campaign. Since the TRS leadership suspected it would lose the by-election, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao deployed nine ministers and 41 MLAs in Warangal for the campaign.

Devaiah found fault with the TRS leaders’ remarks such as ‘Dollar Billa’ and others. He promised to be available to the party cadre irrespective of the outcome of the by-election. ‘I have joined politics to serve the people, not to make money or enjoy positions,’ he added.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP senior leader and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan vice-chairman P Chandrashekar Rao made many suggestions to the counting agents to follow during the counting of votes. He told the agents to arrive at the counting centre by 7 am.
