Hyderabad: A 28-year-old karate instructor ended his life over suspicion on his wife’s extra marital affair and recorded a video before consuming poison at his house.

The deceased identified as Nageshwar Rao (28), a native of Tenali in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh married Varalakshmi of Bapatla village in the same district and was living at Bansilalpet in Gandhi Nagar police station limits for the past one year after marrying against their parent’s wish.

In 2014, Varalakshmi joined the police force as a constable and was posted in the city. For the past few days, the couple had developed differences as Nageshwar suspected extra-marital affair of Varalakshmi with a Reserve constable at the Central Armed Reserve headquarters located in Petlaburj.

Suspecting the fidelity of his wife, recently Nageshwar had been to CAR headquarters to complain about one Santhosh, who had been regularly talking to his wife on phone. On Friday, Nageshwar recorded a video alleging that his wife Varalakshmi and her family members were responsible for his death and shared his agony through the selfie video and shared it among some friends.

The neighbours, with the help of the police, rushed Nageshwar to the Gandhi Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment on Sunday. The Gandhi Nagar police said that the deceased Nageshwar recorded a video on his phone before consuming poison and died while undergoing treatment. A case had been registered against his wife and investigation was on about the allegations made by the deceased, the police said.
