Congress leader S Satyanarayana addressing a press conference  in Hanamkonda on SundayWarangal: Congress candidate for Warangal parliament by-election Sarve Satyanarayana accused the ruling TRS party and the BJP-TDP alliance of spending huge amounts to influence voters in the election. He said TRS and the BJP-TDP distributed nearly Rs 50 crore each to voters.

Speaking to press persons here on Sunday, Sarve alleged that the ruling TRS has misused its power during the polling on Saturday. He opined that the unexpected turnout of the voters showed the public anger and their determination to teach lesson to the ruling party.

The Congress nominee expressed hope that he would win the election with massive majority. The ruling party leaders even threatened public and the officials. Fearing defeat, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao drafted entire cabinet, MLAs, MLCs, MPs and his family members to campaign in the by-election, he alleged.

On the other hand by declaring new initiatives the CM violated election code of conduct and was liable for punishment. The lower rank police have also supported the ruling party during the election, Satyanarayana alleged.

He thanked the AICC, TPCC, district Congress and the voters for supporting in the electioneering. Party leaders GV Ramana Reddy, B Saraiah, E Swarna, N Rajendar Reddy, T Vidyasagar and others were present.
