A high alert has been sounded in Hyderabad and security being beefed up at busy public places in the wake of intelligence agencies receiving inputs over ISIS threat to India. The Hyderabad police has sounded a high alert in the city and raided several places in the Old City and also took several persons belonging to Myanmar into their custody.
The police with an aim to detect sleeper cells, raided several places but did not arrest anyoner. The police raided places at Kanchan Bagh, Santhosh Nagar, Hafeez Baba Nagar and Ghouse Nagar and also a beef cold storage in Ghouse Nagar.
Hundreds of cops raided after closing all entry and exit points. As many as 12 Assamese were taken to record their fingerprints.
