TS, AP likely to hold exams simultaneously
As majority of the questions turning out to be more or less the same, the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States intend to conduct SSC and Intermediate Public Examinations simultaneously.
Hyderabad: As majority of the questions turning out to be more or less the same, the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States intend to conduct SSC and Intermediate Public Examinations simultaneously. In 2015, the Telangana government had conducted examinations prior to the Andhra Pradesh. With the syllabus for SSC and Inter exams being the same in two States, the questions papers turned out almost same.

This has paved the way for students in AP who could access question papers and cleared examinations. “As courses and syllabus were same in the both States, there was no question of failure in the examination,” said an official of Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education. To checkmate it, the officials in Andhra Pradesh government want to conduct examination along with the Telangana.
As the Telangana government already announced Intermediate exam schedule from March 2, the Andhra Pradesh government had proposed similar dates. And the decision is pending before the State Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and would be announced in a day or two. In case of SSC Public exams, the Telangana Directorate of School Education intends to start exams from March 21 to April 9. It plans to declare the results on May 17 and conduct supplementary examinations in second week of July.
In this regard, the directorate is making a proposal which would be sent to Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari for an approval in a week. A senior official of the directorate of school education said officials of Andhra Pradesh government are in talks with Telangana to have same timetable in both the States “AP officials approached us seeking details of the exam schedule so that they can also conduct on the same days. We did not share the dates as they were yet to be finalised,” he added.
