With the MLC elections scheduled to be held on December 27, the district collector Vakati Karuna said that the notification for the elections from the local authorities constituency will be released on December 2.

TRS party leaders are almost certain to win the lone MLC seat in the Warangal district and are gearing up for the elections. TRS district president Takkallapalli Ravinder Rao who gained recognition in the party’s successful run in the earlier and recent elections is said to be ahead in the contest for the MLC race.
Others who are expecting the ticket to contest in the elections include Former MLC Konda Muralidhar Rao along with his wife Konda Surekha, Nagurla Venkateswarlu and party senior leader K Rajaiah Yadav.
The district collector informed that the last date for filing nominations is December 9.
