Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy of the High Court at Hyderabad on Friday directed the Telangana State government and the GHMC to respond to the deletion of 6 lakh voters from the electoral list.
The judge was dealing with a petition filed by Feroze Khan , Secretary of Telugu Desam party. The petitioner complained that the texture of wards to be reserved for BC communities will undergo drastic change if 6 lakh voters are retained in the electoral roll of the GHMC.
The judge questioned the authorities if the deletion of the names was approved by the Election Commission. The case was adjourned to Wednesday.
