Collector asks Tahsildars to protect govt lands

Nizamabad: District Collector Yogita Rana directed the Tahsildars to protect the government lands in the district. She conducted a review meeting with all the revenue officials at Pragathi Bhavan at the district Collectorate here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Yogita Rana said that there was a huge requirement for various development schemes in the State. The revenue officials should protect the government lands by fencing them, she added.
She asked the Tahsildars to amend the revenue records, record the sowing details of various crops of farmers and observe the work of field level staff. The Collector also suggested the Tahsildars to keep a complaint box in the offices and check it every day so that they get resolved immediately.
Rana further said to ensure that the supply of food grains to schools under mid-day meal scheme be on time. Joint Collector Ravinder Reddy, DRO Mohan Lal, RDOs, DSO and various Tahsildars participated in the meeting.
