Khammam: “The TRS government is cheating Muslims of Telangana State by making false promise of implementing 12 per cent reservations,” alleged MP and YSR Congress Party Telangana State president Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.

The MP on Sunday visited the relay hunger strike camp, where Muslims launched indefinite hunger strike since Saturday demanding the government implementation of 12 per cent reservation for Muslim Minorities.

Extending his support to the Muslim Minorities, Srinivas Reddy said the late chief minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy during his tenure had provided 4 per cent reservations and also introduced many schemes for the welfare of the Muslims. But the present TRS government, which boasted of implementing 12 per cent reservations to Muslim Minorities, has failed to do so and neglecting the Muslims, he criticised.

The MP assured them that he would bring their demand of 12 per cent reservations for discussion during the ongoing Parliament session.

He demanded the government implementation of 12 per cent reservations to Muslim Minorities, the promise which they had given before the elections.

YSRCP leaders Mudireddy Niranjan Reddy, V Srinivas Reddy, D Ravi Kumar and Krishna Reddy were present along with others.
