After releasing a CD - KCR Telangana Udyama Charithra (History of KCR’s Telangana Movement) – compiled by the Radio Ellaiah Mama Folk Academy here on Sunday at Ravindra Bharathi, the Home Minister said that folklore was born and developed in Telangana. He assured that the TRS government would strive for the development of Telangana language and its accent.

Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud said the roots of folklore were in Telangana, and lamented that the evolution of TV and cell phones was destroying folk arts. He praised the Radio Ellaiah Mama Folk Academy’s services for the development of folk arts and said the Telangana government would strive to give life for folk academies.
