Hyderabad: US-based Advanced Optronic Devices (AOD, International) Inc and Indian establishment Syska plan to establish LED bulbs manufacturing units at a cost of Rs 500 crore in Telangana State.

A delegation led by AOD Chief Executive Officer K Pratap and Syska Director Rajesh Uttam called on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao at his Camp Office and submitted a proposal to set up their industrial units in the State. The delegation informed the Chief Minister that they required 50 acres of land to take up the projects which will generate employment for 2000 people.

The management added that they are ready to begin operations from March next year. Responding positively, the Chief Minister said his government will provide basic infrastructure facilities and extend all cooperation for setting up the units at a fast pace.

KCR said ‘TS-iPASS’ launched recently has received overwhelming response as 69 industries already expressed their interest to set up units. “The new concept - ‘Business at Ease’ initiated by the government for speedy approvals was yielding results in the promotion of industrial sector in a big way in future.
