Nizamabad: All the three local body candidates’ nomination papers are correct and their candidature is accepted, informed Nizamabad joint collector and local bodies council elections returning officer A Ravinder Reddy here on Thursday. TRS candidate Dr R Bhoopathi’s Reddy, Congress candidate K Venkataramana Reddy and independent candidate B Jagadeesh will be slugging it out for the MLC seat.
The JC conducted a scrutiny of all the nine sets of three candidates’ nomination paper at the district collectorate, in the presence of candidates and their representatives. Election observer L Shashidar was also present in the office.
TRS Candidate Dr R Bhoopathi Reddy filed four sets of nomination papers, Congress candidate K Venkataramana Reddy filed three sets and independent candidate B Jagadeesh filed two sets of nominations. Ravinder Reddy said that names of all the three candidates will be mentioned in the ballot paper in alphabetical order which will followed by NOTA.
This will be apart from the candidate’s name, photo, party name and symbol which will be mentioned in the ballot paper. The returning officer informed that a total of 765 votes can be filed in this election- Nizamabad Urban, Kamareddy, Bodhan and Armoor municipal area legislatures have the right to vote at their municipalities and Nizamabad MP Kavitha, MLCs Shabbir Ali and Rajeshwar have the right to vote at Armoor, Kamareddy and Nizamabad Municipal corporations
