Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) will organise dharnas in all Assembly constituencies on December 19 in protest against the TRS government.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the agitation was being held to oppose the anti-people policies of TRS government and 'purchase' of opposition leaders by the ruling party to win MLC elections. He alleged that the TRS leaders lured the candidates of opposition parties by offering huge money.
Those who refused money were threatened with dire consequences. A day after making a threatening call to Leader of Opposition in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, some miscreants are now trying to intimidate Deputy CLP leader Dr J Geetha Reddy, he alleged.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress candidates would win MLC elections from Nalgonda, Khammam and Ranga Reddy district LACs. He said that the Congress party was supporting the candidature of CPI candidate P Nageshwara Rao from Khammam.
