A good book is a good friend: MLC Palla

Khammam: MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy inaugurated the ‘book fair’ at New Era High School in the town on Monday, organised by the representatives of ‘Walking Book Fair’ of Bhubaneswar.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLC said that book reading is very useful to students for their bright future. A good book is a good friend, he added.

Stating that it was almost impossible to get a good book now-a-days, he lauded Shatabdi Mishra and Akshaya Routhraj, the representatives of the Walking Book Fair, for bringing many valuable and good books at one place within the reach of the common man through book fair.

The representative of Private Schools Association, M Srinivas Rao, said that book reading will give the much needed courage and strength to people to achieve greater heights in their lives.

Along with subject books, students also must read the books, which gives awareness on the society so that they can become good citizens when they grow up, he added.

New Era High School Director I V Ramana Rao advised that book reading improves reasoning capacity and thinking power along with gaining knowledge.

He urged students and others to visit the Book Fair which will be held for three days.

Noted poet Sitaram, New Era High School Executive Director Dr P Bhumeshwar Rao, school staff and students were present along with others.
