Collector calls for monitoring health of girl children

Mahbubnagar: The special officers in the Kasturba Gandhi Balikala Vidyalayas (KGBV) were directed to take special care of girl children. While taking part at a review meeting at Z P Hall on Monday with the SOs in the distinct, the district collector Dr T K Sridevi asked the SOs to regularly conduct health checkups for the girl children.

“As the girls need to be given special care with regard to their health, the SOs should regularly monitor their health and provide all the required medicines like Iron supplements, nutritious food and other required medicines on time,” said the collector.

As part of the meeting, the collector asked the SOs of all the KGVB to compulsorily conduct regular health checkups for the students under Jawahar Bala Arogya Raksha Scheme, particularly for the girl children. She asked the officials to supply Iron tablets without any interruption.

The SOs were also instructed to conduct regular awareness camps to the students’ importantly about personal hygiene, nutrition, value food. She also asked the offices to strictly adhere to food menu in the hostels. With regard to eye sights among the students, the collector asked the teachers to identity the students suffering from eye sight, and asked them to immediately provide eye checkups and give them required medical service.

Dr Deepak gave tips to the school teachers on how to identify the eye sight. In addition to this, the district collector also reviewed the problems of teaching faculty in the KGVBs, and asked them to immediately appoint guest faculty to meet their requirements. DMHO Govind Vangmore, DEO Vijayalaxmi, PO RVM Govind Rajulu and Special officers of KGBV also part in the meeting.
