Inter English, ES syllabi set for major revamp

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education is all set to revamp syllabuses of English and environmental science. While English was due for the revision in the last academic year, environmental science subject was not changed since its introduction.
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education is all set to revamp syllabuses of English and environmental science. While English was due for the revision in the last academic year, environmental science subject was not changed since its introduction.
Now the Board has taken up the process of revamping total syllabus and new syllabus which will come into force from the next academic year. In this regard, the Board has roped in professors of the state-run universities to revamp the syllabus. According to the sources, the Board would induct a lesson on Telangana ideologue Prof. K Jayashankar in English syllabus of both first and second year.
Ever since introduction of environmental sciences as a subject in the intermediate, there were no changes to the syllabus.
Now the Board intends to give Telangana touch to the syllabus by adding climatic conditions, resources and research work related to the environment.
