Traders staged protest near Metro Bhavan on Saturday against the route of Hyderabad Metro Rail in Sultan Bazar demanding re-alignment of Metro rail works. The traders were against the laying of Metro Railway tracks passing through Sultan Bazar and even warned that the demands need to be fulfilled else they would consider the option of suicide.
However, Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd Managing Director and Chief Executive NVS Reddy announced that the row has ended successfully between the HMRL and Sultan Bazaar traders. He added that on the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao, HMRL will provide generous package to the displaced vendors and shop owners.
