High Court rejects plea for ban on future beef festivals

A Division Bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice S V Bhatt refused to ban any future beef festivals from being organised in Osmania University.

Dealing with a petition seeking such a ban, the Bench pointed out that every two years old students would leave the University and the new students can always say they were not party to such a decision.

The counsel for the petitioner sought to impress upon the Bench that such provocative beef festivals were being organised regularly on the campus and they need to be banned once and for all. The Bench however rejected their plea.
