Hyderabad: The Telangana police on Thursday issued notification to fill as many as 9,281 posts of various cadres in the department.

The proforma of application would be available on www.tslprb.in from January 11 to February 4, 2016, which would be the last date for payment of fee and submission of application for recruitment to the concerned posts.

Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board Chairman, J Purnachandra Rao in a note on Thursday informed that the recruitment would be held for 1,810 Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Police Constables (Civil) (Men & Women), 2,760 posts of Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Police Constable (AR) (Men & Women), 56 posts of Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Police Constable (SAR CPL) (Men), as many as 4.065 posts of Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Police Constable (TSSP) (Men) in police department, 174 posts of Constable (Men) in Special Protection Force (SPF), 416 posts of Firemen in Telangana State Disaster Response and Fire Services Department.

He informed that the fee has to be paid online through Mee Seva/e-Seva/TS ONLINE/AP ONLINE centres or through Payment Gateway (Credit card/Debit card/Internet Banking). After receiving the payment receipt from the concerned, the candidate has to fill up the application through website www.tslprb.in. The fees for OCs/BCs will be Rs 400 and for SCs/STs the fee is Rs 200 for the post of police constables.

The government has enhanced the upper age limit by three years for the recruitment. The 5 km and 2.5 km run have been deleted for all the posts. Instead of running, a preliminary written test with minimum qualifying marks of 40 per cent for OCs, 35 per cent for BCs and 30 per cent for SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen will be conducted. According to the revised rules, the men candidates have to qualify 3 out of 5 events in Physical Efficiency Test for the post of PCs (Civil) and the women candidates have to clear 2 out of 3 events in Physical Efficiency Test for the posts of PC (Civil).

The men candidates have to compulsorily qualify in 800 meters run and for women candidates, 100 meters run has been made compulsorily. For women candidates for the post of constables in Armed Reserve, they have to clear all 3 events and their final selection will be based on marks secured in the final written examination and PET events.

There will be weightage of maximum 6 marks for the post of constables in Armed Reserve in the final selection for those possessing HMV and LMV licence.

For ST and Aboriginal Tribes candidates in the agency areas of Mahbubnagar, Adilabad, Warangal and Khammam, height for men has been decided as 160 cm, chest as 80 cm + 3 cm and for women, the height has been revised as 150 cm.

The chairman also informed that to assess the emotional intelligence and sensitivity of the candidates to Gender issues, social issues and ethics and also to assess their aptitude for a strenuous job in policing, a new topic Personality Test has been introduced in the final written examination but not in the preliminary written test. A subject of Telangana History for the post of PCs and SIs and equivalent posts in the written examination will be included, he said.
