Collector assures all help to handloom workers

Mahbubnagar: District Collector T K Sridevi here on Saturday promised to develop the textile clusters and help the handloom workers in all aspects.. The Collector distributed cheques to pensioner of handloom workers at Shantinagar textile cluster under Gadwal mandal.

Advising them that health was wealth, the Collector also promised to distribute motor technology air pump jacquard to help the handloom workers. Because of constant hand and leg movement many handloom workers were falling ill and not able to work properly.

Apart from taking welfare programmes for the weavers, the government would also initiate all required steps to develop the textiles clusters with all amenities and facilities for the weavers, said the Collector.
