Nizamabad: In these days, command over English language was necessary to the youth to build their career, said Telangana University Vice-Chancellor C. Parthasarathi; Participating as chief guest in a seminar conducted by Giraraj Government College on ‘Contribution of Indian Writers in Promotion of English Literature in 20th Century’ in the town on Tuesday, Parthasarathi said that the Giriraj College has a good reputation in Telangana districts, as more than 3500 degree students and 400 PG students were studying in the college, The Giriraj Government college was the only college under the Telangana University region, which was under observation of UGC-NAC Re-Accreditation, the Vice-Chancellor added.
Prof Pardhasaradhi said that the students that who were studyingEnglish language totally were good mannered and well behaved , who obtained honor in society. In India many writers like Raja Rao, Mulkaraj Anand, R.K. Narayanan and many others contributed to the development of English language in India. The students should read their book to develop their language and obtain command on English language, he added.
Inth ese days without knowing English language, people were being treated as illiterates, that’s why students should acquire command over the English language, the VC added. In this seminar, Giriraj Government College Principle Rajendra Prasad, Professors K. V. Ramana Chary, D Venkat Rao, Dharma Raju, Seminar Convener Aslam Farooqui, staff and students were present.
