Nizamabad: District Collector Yogita Rana urged the people to make the ‘Pulse Polio Programme’ in the district on January 17 a success. Addressing a review meeting with district-level officials on the arrangements made for pulse polio programme at the Collectorate on Wednesday, Yogita Rana said that the officials should supply the polio drops to every nook and corner in the district.

She said that steps should be taken to administer the polio drops to children at busy centres like bus stands and railway stations. She said that the health workers and officials should also administer the polio drops in remote places and slum areas.

The health workers should conduct a survey on January 18 and 19 to know whether anyone failed to take the polio drops and if so, give them polio drops. The officials should tie up with the Lions and Rotary Club volunteers and other voluntary organizations members to conduct publicity about these ‘Pulse Polio’ campaign, the District Collector added.

Additional Joint Collector Rajram, DRO Mohanlal, ICDS PD Ramulu, DEO lingaiaha, Municipal Health Officer Sirajuddin and Manohar were present. .
