Make Warangal 100% ID liquor free district
The Director of Prohibition and Excise Department, Akun Sabharwal, directed the district officials to make the district 100 per cent free from illicit liquor.
Warangal: The Director of Prohibition and Excise Department, Akun Sabharwal, directed the district officials to make the district 100 per cent free from illicit liquor.
He visited Warangal district on Thursday and held a review meeting with all excise officers. Excise inspectors, sub-inspectors, assistant excise superintendents, excise superintendents, assistant commissioner and deputy commissioner have attended the meeting.
Sabharwal reviewed crime issues on bind-over cases under Cr.PC 110, preventive detention cases, breach cases, worst offenders and worst villages in terms of brewing illicit liquor, transportation of raw material, jaggery, alum and transportation of illicitly distilled (ID) liquor.
The district officers at the meeting informed him that 90 per cent of the villages in the district were free from ID liquor. While expressing satisfaction over the achievement, he insisted the officials to work hard and make Warangal 100 per cent ID liquor-free district.
