According to topmost source in the GHMC, the government has decided to implement the GO that was issued in the Undivided Andhra Pradesh.
However, the notification for the mayor’s post will be issued after the results for the GHMC elections are announced. Last time the mayor’s post was shared between the Congress and the GHMC.
Banda Karthika Reddy served as the mayor from 2009 to 2011. She was succeeded by Majid Hussain and was the mayor till 2014.
