Radical changes needed to spur development: KCR

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao here on Friday stressed the need for bringing about “revolutionary changes” in the interest of development. Addressing the three-day 27th All India Builders Association Celebrations, KCR cited the example of development of China after it embraced capitalism. “India too should think along the same lines as that of China,” he felt.

Recalling his visit to China, KCR urged Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu to ensure that the Centre concentrates on providing opportunities to the industries for development of the nation, while giving priority to the states like Telangana.

He also said the change was necessary for construction of nation. The construction sector was providing employment for good number of people after the agriculture sector in India and praised the contractors in Telangana State for securing good name nationally and globally. KCR felt that there was a need to bring about suitable changes to the Land Acquisition Act as the Act, which was brought by the previous government.
