Khammam: Identify the real beneficiaries for the double bedroom houses (2BHK) transparently without any irregularities, District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar told the officials.

The District Collector held a review meeting with the members of district-level committee to discuss on the progress of works of 2BHK house project at the Technical Training and Development Centre here on Saturday.

Addressing the officials, Lokesh Kumar said that identification of lands for the construction of double bedroom houses in all constituencies was completed, except in one or two places, where there were minor problems. Land identification in these places also would be completed very soon.

The report, prepared regarding the identification of lands for the construction of 2BHK would be submitted to the district committee in the presence of Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao for approval, he added.

After getting approval from the committee, tenders would be called immediately to start construction works along with identifying the real beneficiaries, he briefed. Local MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar discussed with the Collector about lands that were identified for house construction and about the process of identification of beneficiaries.

He suggested construction of the allotted 400 houses along with the recently announced extra 1,600 houses on all the four sides of Khammam constituency.

ITDA Project Officer Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, RDOs T Vinay Krishna Reddy, Ravindranath and R&B department director Mohan were present along with special officers of the constituencies.
