Telangana Congress on Saturday demanded the source of funding for the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) massive outdoor campaign in the city for the GHMC elections. Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Congress leader Mohammed Shabbir Ali questioned chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's source of donations and whether the donations were taken by KCR in his capacity as the chief minister or the TRS president.
Stating that KCR is is gripped by publicity mania as he wants hoardings with his pictures everywhere in the city, Shabbir Ali asked KCR to disclose the details before the GHMC elections.
Shabbir Ali said that the Chief Minister must reveal the entire list of donors who made nearly Rs 7.5 crore donations for the conduct of the Ayutha Chandi Yagam.
