Nizamabad: District Collector Yogita Rana directed the Mandal Tahsildars in the district to inspect the double-bed room houses. Addressing the officials through a video conference with the mandal level officers here on Monday to know about the status of various government schemes, the District Collector said that nearly 53,000 applications were received till January 10 for the double bedroom houses in Nizamabad district and told the staff of the revenue department that they should take the applications up to January 18.

Yogita Rana said that the revenue officials should give a receipt for each and every application, enter the data of all the applications and scrutinise it immediately with the help of the revenue staff. She said that the officials of the housing department should see whether the applicants mentioned the Aadhaar card numbers were mentioned or not.

The details of those who applied for the third phase of the Indiramma housing scheme should also be examined, she said. The Tahsildars would undertake the field verification works on January 19 and 20 and announce the names of the beneficiaries, she added. Rana said that the Tahsildars would also explain the reasons for rejecting the applications and they would also fix certain percentage for the people belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and minorities.

The District Collector said that the MPDOs of Banswada, Nizamabad Rural, Armoor and Balkonda constituencies should complete the grounding of individual lavatories before January 20 and complete it before the end of this month. She said that the officials should make arrangements for setting up magic pits and two dust bins for each and every house hold and also setup dumping yards in all villages.

Joint Collector Ravinder Reddy, Additional Joint Collector Rajraram, DRDA project director Venkatesham, RWS Superintending Engineer, RDOs and other officials were present on the occasion.
