About 110 FCI workers have joined AITUC under the leadership of district president Tammishetti Ramu at Giri Prasad Bhavan here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Hemanth Rao alleged that both the State and Central governments were neglecting the labour rights and filing false cases on those workers, who questions the government and sending them to jails.

Since last nine years, AITUC union has been working for the welfare of the workers, fighting the problems being faced by the workers in various organisations. He assured the FCI workers, who joined AITUC, saying that CPI and AITUC will always support the FCI workers and will fight to solve their problems.

FCI workers Ramdas, Narsing Rao, M Saidulu, CPI district leader Md Moulana and AITUC representatives B G Climont, S Narasimha Rao, S K Johny Mia, D Suresh, Md Salaam, Y Sambasiva Reddy, M Srinivas Rao and T Venkateshwarlu were present along with others.
