Khammam: The other side of a 27-year-old software engineer, who made revelations that his kidney was stolen by some unknown persons in Colombo, has been revealed. The police investigation found that Muvva Naresh, a resident of Naidupet village under Dammapet mandal, went to Hyderabad in search of a job after he completed BTech from Sai Spurthi Engineering College at Gangaram village under Sattupalli mandal in 2012.

While searching for job, Naresh met Nerella Ramesh and Javed Hussain, said to be job consultants. After the duo lured him with a job, Naresh gave them Rs 2 lakh in two instalments. The duo on some pretext or other evaded Naresh whenever the latter approached them for a job. Later, they escaped by giving a fake appointment order.

Naresh, who found that he was cheated by the duo, told his friend Puchakayala Bharath Kumar about it. Bharath advised him to resort to betting on cricket matches to make easy money. Bharath also introduced Badri Nageswar Reddy, a cricket bookie of Prakasam district, to Naresh. Lured by this, Naresh started betting on cricket matches. He reportedly fetched Rs 5 lakh from his parents on the pretext of getting job and transferred it to Badri, in the last few years.

In this backdrop, he ran out of money and landed in debt-trap. He was then contacted by some unknown persons to sell his kidney for Rs 5 lakh, it is learnt.
Sathupally Deputy Superintendent of Police G Kavitha said on Wednesday that they have arrested Nerella Ramesh and Javed Hussain for cheating Naresh in the name of job, and also his roommate Bharat and bookie Badri.

The police also seized a laptop and mobile phone from the cricket bookie. She said that the investigation was going on to find the links of kidney racket. It’s learnt that two police teams have been dispatched to Delhi and Colombo.
