Haragopal for action against brick kiln management

Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, Prof Haragopal said the brick kiln management had been torturing the workers ruthlessly on one pretext or another. One Sahadev, who was working as tractor driver in the kiln, was badly beaten up on the evening of January 14 by owner Venkateshwar Rao, Munsi, Jaipal, and two others.
He demanded that the Karimnagar district Collector take suo motu action against the brick kiln owner Venkateshwar Rao, the management and all those who were involved in physical, sexual and verbal violence on the hapless workers. “The Collector must take action against the local Revenue and police officials, besides ordering cases under SC/ST Atrocities Act, Bonded Labour Act, Inter-State Migrant Workmen Act, Labour Act.
