Petition on GHMC polls dismissed

The two judge PIL bench of the High Court comprising of Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice S V Bhatt on Monday dismissed a writ plea questioning the action of the authorities in including around 7.9 lakh duplicate voters for the upcoming GHMC elections.

The bench was dealing with a public interest writ petition filed by Mohan Goud and another. The bench took cognizance of the fact that the election notification was issued and therefore one cannot tinker with the electoral rolls.
