As the Hyderabad Central University students have been staging protests over the Dalit Scholar Rohith Vemula's suicide, the Dean of Students Welfare Prakash Babu came forward to speak on the issue.
Stating that they had made efforts to revoke the suspension of the five Dalit students including Rohith, Prakash Babu said that he spoke to Rohith and other students a day before Rohith committed suicide. Prakash Babu said that he had assured the students that the issues over suspension would be resolved shortly but they failed to stop Rohith from committing suicide.
