Condition of HCU agitating students turns critical

Hyderabad Central University students who have been protesting against the University and have been on an indefinite hunger strike for four days following the suicide of Dalit scholar Rohit Vemula were examined by doctors on Saturday.

According to the reports, the sugar levels of the protesters are falling and blood pressure is said to be weak in turn concluding that their health conditions have deteriorated and are critical. The students have been demanding action against the Hyderabad Central University Vice-Chancellor Prof Appa Rao, Union Ministers Bandaru Dattatreya and Smriti Irani.
