Govt purchased 696 acres to distribute to Dalits
District Collector Yogita Rana said that the government had purchased 696 acres of land in Nizamabad district to distribute to Dalits under land distribution scheme.
Nizamabad: District Collector Yogita Rana said that the government had purchased 696 acres of land in Nizamabad district to distribute to Dalits under land distribution scheme.
The Collector participated in a video conference with State Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma on Thursday. On this occasion, Rajeev Sharma appreciated the Collector for collecting 1,017 acres instead of the target of 717 acres.
The Collector informed that nearly 22,000 applications were received under Economic Support Scheme for SC, ST, BC and Minority corporations.
Of these, the officials identified 17,000 applications were correct and send them to the bankers in 1:4 ratio for sanctioning loans. Meetings will be held in villages from February 4 to 29 for selecting the beneficiaries, the Collector added.
