158 SC, ST atrocities cases pending

​Karimnagar: A total of 158 SC, ST atrocity cases were pending in the district. While 30 cases were pending in the court, the remaining were at different levels.
Participating in SC, ST Vigilance and Monitoring Committee meeting at the Collectorate conference hall here on Friday, Superintendent of Police D Joel Davis said they were taking all necessary steps to dispose atrocity cases as early as possible.
A receipt will be given to the victims immediately after registering complaint, he said and informed that they were taking steps to file appeal in the upper court immediately after the judgement in the lower court.
District Collector Neethu Kumari Prasad and other district-level officials participated in the meeting.
