Byndla artists demand 1,500 pension
The members of Telangana State Byndla Samithi on Friday submitted a memorandum to in-charge District Collector Dr N Satyanarayana demanding Rs 1,500 pension to the artists of their community.
Nalgonda: The members of Telangana State Byndla Samithi on Friday submitted a memorandum to in-charge District Collector Dr N Satyanarayana demanding Rs 1,500 pension to the artists of their community.
Later speaking to the media, Samithi president Chithra Minnaiah said that priority would be given to the poor Byndla community people in three acres of land to landless SCs scheme and double bedroom scheme.
He urged the government to appoint byndla community people as priests at temples of village goddess in rural areas by giving a honorarium.
The State government should immediately constitute Byndla Corporation and appoint required officials, he added. Byndla Hakkula Porata Samithi state president Nandigama Venkatesh and general secretary T Somaiah were present.
