Student Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Hyderabad Central University has called for Chalo Delhi programme to protest against the injustice meted by the Central government to Rohit Vemula's suicide.
The JAC members in the campus decided to conduct the programme on February 20 to demand action against Union Ministers Bandaru Dattatreya, Smiriti Irani and HCU vice chancellor Appa Rao. The programme is expected to witness participation from students from several universities in the country. The JAC will also be organizing a bus yatra in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on February 8 to bring focus on the issue.
