Nizamabad: The 20th awards installation ceremony of Vasavi Club was held on Sunday at Sadanand gardens in the town on Sunday. Channa Ravinder, president, Bompally Raju, general secretary, Muthyala Chandrakanth, treasurer and executive committee members took oath on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Nizamabad Mayor Aakula Sujatha, who was the chief guest on the occasion, lauded the services undertaken by the Vasavi Club and congratulated the newly elected members of the club. She urged them to expand their activities to other areas.

Yada Nageshwar Rao, former president of the Vasavi International Club, administered the oath to the newly elected members and said that the Vasavi international has funds worth Rs 7 crore which were deposited in banks and they were carrying out various activities with the help of such funds.

He said that club was sanctioning interest loans to the club members to start small companies to carry out trade. The Club was also giving Rs 5 lakh to the families of club members who died in accidents and also for those in cases of normal deaths. In his speech, Chenna Ravinder, the newly elected president said that the Vasavi Club would be strengthened in the Nizamabad district and its activities would be expanded to other areas too.
