Make pulse polio 2nd phase also a big success: Collector
District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar directed the district officials to prepare perfect planning to implement the Pulse Polio Immunization programme successfully, scheduled to be held on February 21, 22 and 23. He held a meeting with the district Task Force Committee on the implementation of second phase of Pulse Polio Immunization programme at Technical Training and Development Centre (TTDC) here
Khammam: District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar directed the district officials to prepare perfect planning to implement the Pulse Polio Immunization programme successfully, scheduled to be held on February 21, 22 and 23. He held a meeting with the district Task Force Committee on the implementation of second phase of Pulse Polio Immunization programme at Technical Training and Development Centre (TTDC) here on Thursday.
The Committee had discussed about administering Pulse Polio drops to children below five years age at booth level on February 21 and during household survey, to be organised on February 22 and 23. Recalling that the first phase of Pulse Polio programme was successfully implemented in the district in January 2016 with the coordination of various government departments, the Collector urged the officials to make the second phase also a big success.
He suggested to give wide publicity in villages and towns with the help of Anganwadi workers and Self Help Groups along with taking suggestions from the Directors of MEPMA, ICDS and DRDA. District Immunization Officer Dr Venkateshwarlu, Project Directors of MEPMA Venu Manohar and ICDS Dr Sukh Jeevan Babu were present along with others.
