Karimnagar: Bar Association membership of four dalit advocates, who disturbed the lecture of former Chief Justice of Patna High Court, L Narsimha Reddy, was cancelled for one year. It may be recalled that a group of dalit advocates prevented Narsimha Reddy from delivering his lecture on ‘Dr BR Ambedkar Clamour National Integration’ held at District Legal Services Authority building, district court hall on Thursday.

The advocates had alleged that the judge has no right to speak about Ambedkar as he acquitted the accused of Chunduru massacre. Considering it as a humiliation to the entire judiciary system, Karimnagar District Bar Association executive committee meeting held on Friday, has decided to cancel the memberships of four advocates - Budida Mallesham, Kattekola Laxman, Janagama Narsingh and Mishani Ramchandram - for one year.

Announcing this to media persons here on Friday, Karimnagar District Court Bar Association president Korivi Venugopal informed that they have decided to file contempt of court writ petition in High Court besides referring the incident to the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.

No person or agency has a right to question the judgement and people have a right to fight the case in the upper court, he opined and informed that Chunduru case was also pending in Supreme Court.
