Speaking at the meeting after laying the foundation stone to Seetharama Lift Irrigation Project at Rollapadu village in Tekulapalli mandal, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said, The Seetharama Lift Irrigation Project which will be constructed at cost of Rs 8,000 crore will supply irrigation and drinking water for 24 mandals in the district. 

Khammam: Speaking at the meeting after laying the foundation stone to Seetharama Lift Irrigation Project at Rollapadu village in Tekulapalli mandal, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said, “The Seetharama Lift Irrigation Project which will be constructed at cost of Rs 8,000 crore will supply irrigation and drinking water for 24 mandals in the district.

Nearly six lakh acres of land will be provided with irrigation water through this project.” Chandrashekar Rao further said that Khammam district would be the richest of all after the completion of the project with enormous crop productions and good yields. “The farmers who will lose their lands under this project will not only be given land in compensation but also double bedroom houses.

All the thandas will be changed into panchayats. For the development of Yellandu constituency, Rs 1 crore is allotted,” he said. MPs K Keshava Rao and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLAs J Venkat Rao, Thati Venkateshwar Rao, B Madan Lal, Zilla Parishad Chairperson G Kavitha, Additional Secretary to CMO Smitha Sabarwal, Chief Public Relation Officer of CM Jwala Naramisha Rao, SC Corporation Chairman P Ravi and DCCB Chairman M Vijay Babu were present along with others.
