Fire accident at metro godown in Kukatpally

A fire broke out at a metro godown unit in Kukatpally, Hyderabad on Wednesday night causing a damage to the property worth over Rs 8 lakh in the mishap. However, no one was injured. Locals and other shopkeepers informed the police and fire tenders as soon as they notice the flames erupting from the godown. The fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused down the fire.

Locals are citing firecrackers to be the cause of the accident but officials are yet to identify the reason behind the fire. Nearly half of the materials required in the Metro construction are said to be destroyed in the incident. The police are now investigating the reason behind the mishap.
