Telangana Congress leader Basavaraju Saraiah from Warangal is all set to join TRS on Tuesday in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Earlier reports suggested that Basavaraju Saraiah was suspended by the Telangana Congress Committee. Basavaraju Saraiah is said to have talks with the TRS leaders regarding him joining the party. It is learnt that Saraiah has received a positive response to join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi party with the mediation of D Srinivas with whom he used to have close ties when the latter was in Congress.
With Saraiah having a strong foothold in East Warangal, his entry into TRS would be a plus for the party to win some divisions in the coming Corporation elections in Warangal.
