The first nomination for the Khammam Municipal Corporation elections was filed Dr Kanuri Vennela of Communist Party of India (Marxist) from 31st division here on Monday. Dr Vennela is the granddaughter of noted doctor Medinov Harish. Before filing nomination, she took out a massive rally with her supporters and party activists from N S T road to Municipal office through Asadharan Hospital.

Khammam: The first nomination for the Khammam Municipal Corporation elections was filed Dr Kanuri Vennela of Communist Party of India (Marxist) from 31st division here on Monday. Dr Vennela is the granddaughter of noted doctor Medinov Harish. Before filing nomination, she took out a massive rally with her supporters and party activists from N S T road to Municipal office through Asadharan Hospital, R T C bus depot, P R T U office road, Rythu Bazaar and old CPM party office.

After filing the nomination, Vennela said, ‘Since my childhood I has been observing Khammam city and many problems still exist. Especially in the 31st division, sanitation and drinking water problems are very severe. Being a doctor, I know how to solve the problems of suffering patients who come to me. With the same spirit, I will try to solve the problems of the division too, if I win.’

CPM leaders Y Srinivas Rao, Y Vikram, S K Hussain, A Srinivas Rao, K Venkateshwar Rao, Johnimiya, Raghu, Nani, Sai, Ramu, Venkanna Babu and Jameel were present along with others.
